Prefer having the logo on the back of the card rather than under the type. I feel both sides are separate designs and deserve their own space.

Designing a logo to represent myself and these are the current outcomes. The two directly above are based on the type which im using for the front, slick looking and geometric. However the two at the top i think are more interesting as these directly look at geometric shapes which a lot of the typefaces ive created this year do. It also has a interesting contrast with the type as they oppose each other in weight.
Using Geosans light I've created the front of my business card. keeping everything aligned to the right and left has given focus to the type as we are drawn into it. I think it also reflects how a lot of my practice revolves around type and layout.
Thinking about business cards and the typeface i want to use that basically needs to represent me. For a start it needs to be sans serif, modern, fresh, making me look current. Looking at the above i like the fourth one down, a light weight, organic look to it which is simple and to the point, which i think represents a lot of my work

Above are a selection of the products i have worked on with students at my placement at Prince Henry's. The School offers pupils from GCSE onwards the opportunity to be creative over their designs and consider the materials they use. As we can see above they do this well and push their designs and experiment with materials. The material side has been as useful to me as the pupils, allowing me to understand the properties and usages of materials.

Looking at other peoples business cards, mainly at ones that are just simple with simple concepts which essentially is what im going to want for my business cards.
